This 8-lesson mini-course from the Human Body & Nervous System module examines the brain and the nervous systems associated with the eye and the ear. Sit in on the class and learn about the amazing way God created the human body.

At Wilson Hill Academy, we believe that teaching science should equip students to think about God’s creation both Christianly and scientifically. This means reinforcing the child’s natural wonder for the world God created and helping each child see God’s glory as revealed in His creation: “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made” (Romans 1:20). It also means equipping students with tools they can use to explore God’s world and discover the depths of His creation. These tools include observation and classification, exercises in comparison and contrast, and a beginning appreciation for concepts like cause-and-effect, process thinking, and systems thinking. These courses are arranged by groups of related topics rather than by grade level and are appropriate for grades 4–6 in any order.
