This 8-lesson mini-course on Old Yeller gives students the ability to step into Wilson Hill’s Language Arts 1 class and join their study of this timeless classic about a boy and his dog. 

Language Arts 1 students become stronger readers and writers through an integrated grammar, writing and literature curriculum developed specifically for Wilson Hill Academy. Throughout the year, students regularly engage in literature-based discussions, debates and projects that encourage a love of reading as students connect personally to unique characters and storylines. As biblical truths are identified and discussed within each story, students are encouraged to share how these truths impact their daily lives. Poetry, memory work, dictation and copy work are incorporated weekly, providing a variety of opportunities for students to participate in the class.
